Kilkenny Musical Society are delighted to announce that their 2016 production ‘The Full Monty’ has been cast and musical theatre fans are in for a treat of local performers as well as stellar newcomers. Director Christine Scarry, who took the helm for the award winning 2014 production of ‘Michael Collins: A Musical Drama’ and once again last year for the epic ‘Sweeney Todd’, has put together a fantastic group of singers, actors and dancers to bring this show filled with razor sharp humour and toe-tapping pizzazz to the Watergate stage.

Kilkenny Musical Society’s 2015 fundraiser – Little Shop of Horrors- comes to the Watergate Theatre on Thursday November 12th. The tale of Seymour, Audrey & the talking plant Twoey rocks onto the Watergate stage for just three nights.

Here at Kilkenny Musical Society we are proud to be a member of AIMS, the Association of Irish Musical Societies. AIMS is an umbrella group for amateur musical societies in Ireland which provides many services and supports to its members. KMS firmly believe in supporting as many of our fellow AIMS societies as we possibly can and this 2014-2015 has been no exception. In fact, this season has seen us visit more societies than ever before and what an entertaining year we have had.
Anticipation and excitement was high last Thursday evening when director Christine Scarry unveiled her plans for Kilkenny Musical Society’s 2015 musical “Sweeney Todd - The Demon Barber of Fleet Street” at the society’s first rehearsal of the new year. The society are delighted to welcome back Christine in her second show with the society, after directing last year’s hugely successful award winning production of “Michael Collins – A Musical Drama”.
